Hamann expands further
with new building in wetteren

With 170 employees and a rapidly increasing turnover, which is likely to exceed 85 million Euro in 2019, Hamann International Logistics is experiencing successful and busy times.

Despite additional office and storage space in Wetteren and Lokeren, we expected capacity shortages in order to deal with the expected growth in the best way possible.

In order to anticipate this, it was decided to look for a logistically well-located site, preferably in the vicinity of our existing infrastructure.

A large piece of land in the Biezeweg industrial estate in Wetteren, approximately 2.5 kilometres away from our existing infrastructure, caught our attention.

The existing industrial building is currently being demolished and the land is being prepared for construction. These works will be completed at the end of next month.

The site has an area of 23.502 m², on which a transhipment warehouse of 7.000 m² with 51 loading docks, 800 m² of office space and sufficient parking space for trucks and cars will be built.

In addition to our transhipment activities, a number of (other) services will also be accommodated here.

We are already looking forward to spring 2020; the moment we will start using this new location.

At a later stage, the existing transhipment warehouse at Vantegem will be transformed into extra storage space.

This investment involves an amount of approximately 12 million Euro.
